Professional Telehealth counselling service.

Fees & Rebates

Professional, confidential counselling is provided at an affordable rate. The Australian Psychological Society’s (APS) recommended fee for a 50 minute session is $280.00 (1 July 2022 to 30 June 2023). We adjust the standard rate where appropriate to meet the needs of our clients.

Rebates are available from Medicare or alternatively from most Private Health Funds, depending on your level of coverage (please check with your health fund provider). You can choose only one so you will need to choose between claiming from Medicare or claiming with your Private Health Fund.

Payment is required at the end of each session via credit card. Once approved, the Medicare rebate is processed online.

Payment of Fees

Fees for psychological therapy are payable at the end of each counselling session. Credit card facilities are available.

Please note that a minimum notice period of 24 hours is required if you need to cancel or change an appointment.

If notice is not received in time for us to schedule an alternate client during this time, we are sure that you will understand that to keep our practice viable, we will need to charge our full fee.

Private Health Cover

Private Health Funds mostly provide rebates for psychological services. These rebates can vary according to your Health Fund and your level of cover. It is recommended that you contact your insurer for more information.

Medicare

You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for your therapy. In order to receive a Medicare rebate, you must be referred by a GP, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician.

It is possible to receive a Medicare rebate for 10 sessions of Psychological therapy with a Clinical Psychologist. For more information, a Medicare Factsheet has been made available by the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

If you meet the criteria your GP will prepare a Mental Health Care Plan which you will bring to your first session of Psychological therapy. For Telehealth, please email the Mental Health Care Plan prior to attending the first session.

After six sessions of therapy, you will be required to return to your GP, who will review the Mental Health Care Plan (item 2712 or 2713) and you will be eligible for a further four sessions of counselling.

The Medicare rebate can be processed online after payment.
